Related imageTanahun District a part of province no.4 is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal.It is a hilly district in Gandaki zone of western Nepal. The district, with Damauli as its district headquarters, covers an area of 1,546 km².It is encircled with Gorkha and Chitwan in East, Kaski and syanjyain West,Lamjung and Kaski in North while Chitwan and Nawalparasi in South.The climate of this district is very suitable for living.
                   It is the beautiful district with various natural beauties, religious places and so on. The important religious spots of Tanahun are Vyash gufa,Pancha mandir, Thanithan, Teen Khole Devi Mandir, Chabdi barahi, Nirjala Mai, Akala Mai,Aadhi Mul,Dhorbarahi etc.  Bandipur is the most beautiful and famous place for tourism.Because of its preserved,old time cultural atmosphere,it has increasingly been coming to the attention of tourism.Likewise, Siddha cave,Hattigaura cave,Byas cave ,Devghat are famous places. The  Seti Gandaki River , also known as the  Seti River  or the  Seti Khola , is a river of western Nepal, a left tributary of the Trishuli River. It is one of the holiest rivers of Nepal, worshipped in Hinduism as a form of Vishnu. The river is also famous because it is close to some Holy places and is the central point of many stories of Hindu mythology, such as the Mahabharata, one of longest books of Hinduism, written by Vyasa, who was born near the confluence of the Gandaki and Madi rivers near Damauli, Tanahun, Nepal. Gandaki River . [1]  It rises from the base of the Annapurna massif, and flows south and south-east past Pokhara and Damauli to join the Trishuli River near Devghat.
